Doc KASSIS

bhjerryMy name is Jerry Kassis, AKA Dr. J.  I have been in the restoration business for about 40 years, in partnership with my brother Steve in The Filling Station, LLC, Chevrolet & GMC Quality Reproduction Parts.

I have been a gear-head most of my life and have recently decided to get out from behind the desk and put my experience to practical use. I have been building my home shop for the last 25 years with a home restoration business in mind. Having this business at home and doing it on my own, I am able to work undisturbed (most of the time) and keep my overhead down. This results in better quality work and savings for my customers!

My idea is to “help” you complete your project. I am not into full restorations (for the most part), but I will help you on different facets of your restoration to help move your project along. A common problem with restorations is that you can get stuck on a certain part and lose momentum.  If this happens and you are having trouble moving forward, this is where I can help.

I specialize in classic cars and trucks, mostly Chevys, but I will work on most any make or model. I now have a 6 bay shop at my home in Lebanon, Oregon.

One bay has an in-ground hoist, another bay (not seen in this picture) has my motorcycle/ATV lift (which now serves for the most part as a work table for my restoration projects), the third is an area where I do much of my welding and fabricating, the fourth is my machine shop, complete with a Sharp LMV manual milling machine, an Acer lathe, drill press, grinders, hydraulic press, etc. The fifth bay will be my sandblasting booth (not completed yet), and the sixth bay is my paint booth and mixing room (still working on this also).

I have been very busy with jobs since I started the business in February of 2012. Unfortunately this is making it very difficult to find the time to complete my paint and sandblast rooms.

In the past few years I have restored many, many vent windows for numerous vehicle makes and models of vintage cars & trucks, and the door hinges for 1947-55 1st series Chevy trucks, which have specific issues because of their design.  Vent windows are a job that I have spent a lot of time and money learning the way to make them look like a factory build. I have invested many hundreds of dollars in tools just to perform the riveting like the factory did in the past, so your vent windows come back to you ready for many years of service in the future. If you are interested in my vent window or hinge rebuilding service, please contact me to get an idea of what I can do for you to help you along.

If you are interested in having me do some work to help you along on your project vehicle, just go to my “Contact Us” page and give me a shout. I would be happy to discuss your project with you and see if I can give you the right prescription to move your project along.

Thanks for checking me out, and Happy Motoring!
